The French won the last meeting between the two teams in Paris in 2002 at Roland Garros, home of the French Open.The USTA will honor the American team, winners of the 2007 Davis Cup over Russia in last year’s final, in a ceremony on court before play begins Friday.The winner in Winston-Salem will meet the winner of Spain and Germany, scheduled to play in Bremen, Germany. Rafael Nadal, David Ferrer and Feliciano Lopez are on the Spanish team, and Philip Kohlshreiber and Nicolas Keifer lead the Germans.
